Pack 55 is blessed to serve in Charlotte for over 75 years.  We are a formally chartered Cub Scout organization, proudly part of the Boy Scouts of America's Mecklenburg County Council (Apache District).  Our Pack is chartered by Myers Park Presbyterian Church.

Each year, we welcome over 60 families to our Scouting program.  Cub Scouts offers a program for boys and girls, starting with Kindergarten and ending with 5th grade.  We are truly blessed to have an active set of Cub Scout leaders at every level: parents who volunteer to lead your children and their own.  Our leaders have a diverse set of life experiences and skills but share a common love for the program and excitement for scouting.  Once they reach the end of the 5th grade, Scouts are invited to join the older Scouting program through our Troop 55 at Myers Park Presbyterian Church.

Our Pack 55 scouting year coincides with the local public and private school calendars in the area (September through May).  We typically have two Pack events per month: one Pack-sponsored event (campout, Pack hike, volunteer event), and one all-Pack meeting that occurs on Sunday afternoons. Following the all-Pack meeting, we break out into smaller meeting groups for each grade level (or Den).

Our program activities follow the Cub Scout curriculum at each grade level, which are designed to explore a love of faith, country, community, service and good old-fashioned fun.  As a Pack, we organize several special events, ranging from the traditional Pinewood Derby Races to organized camping trips.
